چکیده

Background: Choanal atresia (CA) is a widely recognized craniofacial disorder characterized by the obliteration of posterior nasal opening, due to imperforation oronasal membrane and overgrowth horizontal vertical process palatine bone during weeks 4-11 gestation process. Objective: To evaluate efficacy trans-nasal endoscopic cross-over flap technique in repair choanal with long-term follow-up. Patients methods: This study was conducted on 20 cases that were managed transnasal approach using at Department Otorhinolaryngology, Bab EL-Sharia AL-Hussein Hospitals, Faculty Medicine, AL-Azhar University from December 2018 January 2020. Results: The included cases: 13 females 7 males, 5 bilateral, 15 unilateral. Four bony atretic plate, 16 mixed plate. (20%) needed post-operative revision restenosis choana. Revision more common bilateral than unilateral type type. Also, patients associated malformations, done before 10 days. Conclusion: Transnasal surgery one best choices management atresia. Endoscopy CT are methods choice for diagnosis.
